After 4 innings 4-2 Texas. K-State got 2 runs on 5 hits. The most hits given up by Sthele in a game (8) no walks in the game and 2 run. LBJ is in to start the 5th.

Texas 4th: 4 runs and chased the starter after he throws 30 pitches and gives up 4 runs on 5 hits, I believe.  

Texas  4-2 going to the 5th.

Had to wait to let the frustration over a loss that shouldn't have happened.

Our pitchers are getting exposed for not keeping runners in check.

As for why no Shaw, it could be that instead of having a Thursday-Saturday series it's Friday  thru Sunday series with Monday and Tuesday games with Texas State away(Monday) and home(Tuesday).  That is something that Pierce needs to address.

To me the mid week games do not mean much. Conference is what counts. Non conference games are for players who do not start, to develop. Espically pitchers Horns should have enough pitchers on roster for this.

This year relivers rotation has been a what the €£%#.  Later I will check on stats.

Hurley gets the start.

Gives up 1 run in the top of the 1st; however,  Texas gets a 2 run homerun in the bottom of the 1st.

After 1.  It's Texas 2-1.

Pierce and Eric Kennedy have been ejected earlier in the game

Any one know why Pierce was arguing with the ump that led to his ejection? That 3rd strike on Kennedy was over the right side batters box so I can see why he was upset with that call. I think the ump was pissed at Pierce and took it out on him. Worse call of the game so far.

Word is DP took issue w/umpire Henrichs over Henrichs hustling Thomas into the box after Daly fouled a pitch off his foot and was being looked at by the trainer over on 1B after Daly drew the walk. Home Blue was atrocious today in most every facet of the game.

Burke came on in the top of the  6th.

Texas does get the bases loaded, but Powell hits a fly out to end the inning.

After 7 complete.  Texas leads 8-2.

Texas wins and goes to 6-3 in conference. First place followed by Ok State and TCU both with 7-5 conference records.
