Not defending Tom but he did better with was there than Sark did.

To Sark's credit injury at QB hurt. Then you take what you have and coach them up.

Examples DKR took a team that went 1-9 and 06   6-4-1 and 4-1-1

DKR last year 5-5-1  Akers wenr  11-1 it all boils down to coaching.

Having a fully healthy Earl would help any coach. Just sayin ...

Tom inherited a better roster than what he left.

Really What would stat man NTG have to say.

Year    Number of class ranking  Number of recruits

2014   17----23      2015---10---29       2016   9---29   2017?-----25----18

2018    2-----26     2019----3-----26    2020----8----15    2021---15---23

Know you hate math. but there it is. Who was best at recruiting?

Numbers lead you to an incorrect conclusion many times. This is one of those times. As we have discussed and agreed in the past several times, neither Strong nor Herman recruited needs. Both seemed to fall in love with the small offensive linemen, many of those were 3-stars and projects (Cosmi was a project, for example).

This is why the cupboard was bare when Sark arrived. This is why our OL was helpless and pathetic and our DL wasn't much better.

What is the difference in the number of class and the number of recruits? Would that not end up being the same? If not, please explain. lol

Number of class shouldhave been ranking number year 2014 ranked 17 th no. in class  23

IMO these 24/7 rateing sort of proves who recruited best. But water under the bridge and matters little.

NeitherCharlie or Tom was able to win at Texas, jury is still out on Sark.

If powers to be had spent the money and hired Myer or Sabin we would truly be back.

Agree!

I attended my first Texas game in 1977 and have been a fanatic ever since.

I can’t give statistics, but my eyeballs tell me last year was the least talented Texas team I’ve ever seen.
