i think they are closer to a 16 seed than the Sweet 16...unless they bought tickets.

I watched the game yesterday and as @longhorn_migstated above, it was a total meltdown in the 2nd half. After a very good 1st half, the team thought they had it and tried to coast in the 2nd half. The refs didn't help in the 2nd but truthfully they shouldn't have mattered if Texas would have played right.

Too many times I saw Texas players forgo the wide open shot to make a pass (some were horrible) or dribble into coverage to turn the ball over. Example, it was 7-2 Texas and Brock had a wide open 10ft shot on the baseline with ~5 to 6 secs on the shot clock. So what does he do? He dribbles into the lane, gets covered and Texas turns the ball over o shot clock violation. TCU had a 10-0 run to take a 12-7 lead. If you're afraid to shoot a 10ft shot in college, that's sad.

I saw too many open shots not get taken in the 2nd because Texas shooters were afraid to miss after starting the half slow. Shoot the ball if you're open! I saw Beard get on several during timeouts & breaks so I know it's not coaching!

The good thing out of this loss is the bench played pretty decent overall minus Disu. Askew only played 9 mins but they were very productive. I haven't been that impressed with him this season but if he can put together 30+ mins of how he played yesterday, he will be very good.

I still have faith in Chris Beard.  In my opinion,  we’re way better off than we were with our previous staff.  We’ll see what happens on the tournament but IF we play well we could win a game or two.  Beard will bring in what he needs.  This team had so many transfers that it was hard to mesh it all together.  Then Mitchell gets pissed off and quits…….he would have helped.  The 3 recruits he has signed look to be really good.  He’ll add to that and we should be better next year.  I just know with Shaka we would have lost a lot of the games we have won.  I’m going to TRY to be patient and give this staff time.

aggy is playing some good basketball. Beat Auburn and Arkansas back to back. They got hot at the right time.

The Texas Lady Longhorns are Big 12 Conference Champs!

Big win over Baylor, 67-58.

Congratulations to the Lady Longhorns and Congratulations to Rori Harmon, Player of the Game!

This is the ladies' first Big 12 title since 2003.

The women’s team took Baylor out to win the Big 12 tournament.  Man Vic is a good coach.  He seems to get his team playing a little better every week and then it is tournament time and they’re playing their best ball.  We’re going to be one of the top teams in the country and really soon with his guidance.  I’d bump his pay if I was CDC.  No I’m not his agent but I’ve watched us play average to below average basketball for a long time.

Happy for Barnes and glad he beat aggy. I remember back when he was here and aggy always gave him major crap. He was pretty cool and took it but he could also get at them, very slyly,  when Texas won.
