2023 Recruiting Board/Thread

Rainy day so will look at off. for next years recruiting.

QB barring attrition will be fine.

RB in great shape.

TE might need one but still ok.

WR. plenty of bodies not greatt depth in talent and speed.

OL need more bodies with talent up to 16-17 at position ( betting this no. will not happen)

Comments welcomed.

– Arch Manning.

– Owens or bust.

– We have plenty of TEs. I might skip this position next year unless one falls into my lap.

– WRs. Recruit them all day long and into every evening. We need to continue to upgrade our speed at this position as well.

– Upgrade the talent you're bringing in. We can do that if the current OL can continue to improve.
I would agree that Manning at QB.  Not certain of anyone leaving.

I think it's  Owens or the 2nd RB in state at Waco/Temple.

TE: probably fine, but how does the staff feel about Greathouse or the TE from Georgia.

WRs:  this will say a lot about how the staff values size and speed.

OL: numbers matter, but so does evaluations. Got to get probably 4-6 to go with the 4-5 in this year's  class.

IT was in New Orleans yesterday to see QB Arch Manning and they're hearing Texas has the lead going into his visit to Austin this weekend.

They believe some Junior Day visits at the beginning of next year is a possibility, but don't expect it to happen at this point.

The family recognizes an earlier decision can even have a positive effect on the 2022 class.

He will visit Ole Miss on 10/23 (Eli is having his jersey retired), and possibly Clemson the weekend after.
