It's obvious this is supposed to be Bijan's team. I don't expect that to change against Rice.  I'm not sure he's even our best Robinson? At this point Casey is our most effective run weapon. I don't see Shark turning him loose, I expect the same 3rd down passing opportunities and expect him to be handcuffed against running, keep your eye's upfield stuff.

We have been exposed at the O line and D line, and every team is going to follow the Arky game plan now.

Humor me with your thoughts? Bijan has been mighty unimpressive on the field so far, and that Heisman campaign is dead. I have no problem changing the lineup with running back just like anything else.

By naming Thompson the starter he is not going to be able to run much of his offense that got him hired here.  Sadly this very well could hurt the Arch recruitment. Thompson is just not suited to run the full Sark offense.... We have some major issues to figure out.

I hear you on actual time on the field, but are you saying there's no value in spending those additional years in a college program, watching film, reps in practice, etc? There's value in that. I don't want to speak for @J.B. TexasEx, but I think that's part of what he's saying in comparing their classifications.

As for the playbook, you have to scheme to the talent on the roster. This is one thing that has driven me nuts with the recent coaches we've had. Stop trying to shove a square peg into a round hole. Over time, you can recruit the players you need to run your ideal offense. But when you walk into a new job, you have to work with what's on the roster. Any competent coach will do that. To that end, you have to let Casey be Casey. Considering the terrible O-line play so far, you have to let him use his legs to get positive yards. Also, that running threat from Casey will hopefully open up things a little more for Bijan.

On that note, I'm going to have to respectfully disagree on Bijan not being the best Robinson. I get your frustrations, but he's easily one of, if not the best, offensive weapons we have. If you go back to that first game, there were a number of plays he turned a terrible situation into a highlight. Even the best RBs have a clunker and Arkie was keying in on him. By the time we reach the end of the season, I fully expect him to be one of the best RBs in the nation.

IMO the playbook is already seriously in question. Luckily the Big 12 doesn't have the beef in the lines to exploit us as bad as Arky, who may turn out to be something? 

Both WR's have 3 catches on the season. There is no pocket (and it hasn't been rolled) nor off guard running game. Outlet passes and play action, QB scrambles and Whitt in the middle seems to be our best weapons. We don't use our motion for anything. We have only 4 sacks on the season, and gave up 6. 2 linebackers and 1 CB dominate our tackle statistics. Poor tackling form is rampant. 

 Does the playbook adapt to strength's and weaknesses? When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

Yeah, I think we're going to learn a lot about Sark in the next couple of games. Hudson has more of the skillset Sark would want for his offense. With Casey at the helm, can he adapt and call plays that highlight Casey's skillset? Please, dear God, let this be a competent coach that can adapt.

I say no.  He calls a good game when he has the talent advantage.  Sark just needs to realize when he has that advantage and doesn’t.  Like I said earlier.  His first game was really good.  You could see a play and see how it was setup from earlier in the game. He can alter his play calls differently each game

Question…, regardless of who qbs the rest of the year, what if Sark is holding back in ooc and Texas ends up winning the Big12.  Would you consider that a success in his first year?

it is a possibility.  Am I suggesting it happens?  Hell naw.   Ark will likely have the biggest most aggressive DL Texas will see.  Having said that I believe Ark’s ceiling is 7 wins with that QB.  
 

So at 11-3 with a Sugar Bowl victory, do you think recruiting takes off?

Why can't he run all his offence. I thought Sark was hired to Win not to just run a offence. If one wants a offence only hire a Briles.

What is difference in QBS? Casey is faster better runner and better long passer. Card is better short passerand most every one thinks hehas more potential.

We could be a Big 12 contender. What we have called recruiting wins in years past meant nothing. Until we go SEC we won't see the real recruits, and I suspect you have to pay to get them to play.

Seems as if you are implying that Hudson Card is the college football equivalent of Aaron Rodgers.  I can't see that from here.
