I know Virginia fans were annoyed when Faltine tagged their runner out at 2nd and said, “Go to the dugout and sit down.”

I don’t have a problem with it. It’s an elimination game. It’s emotional. Silas and Trey made a great play.  Let them enjoy it. 

My goodness, he didn’t curse, and this isn’t tennis or golf. Loosen up Virginia. Your guys get dirty, too, and they even curse. ?

I wonder if some of the Texas guys (like Trey) took exception to the UVA pitching strutting around.  I don't have a problem with either of the situations...have some fun because these moments are rare.

Coy Cobb did the "sheath the sword" celebration after the last out so they definitely took notice of the UVA pitcher doing the same.

That UVA pitcher was strutting around like a rooster in heat out on the field so I had no problem with what Faltine did.

Who is left in the bullpen for tonight if Witt, Quintanilla, and Nixon are out? They've been the high leverage guys all year but I don't know if Quintanilla or Nixon can go more than an inning or so.

Kubichek for multiple innings. Started in the rotation but was moved around this year.

Gordon is the lefty with good stuff but only a Freshman.

Wenzel has been around forever but not great stuff.

Southard is another Freshman who pitched in the Regional and Big12 tourney, but not much outside of that.

No one else has pitched in almost 2 months. Hopefully Madden can go deep again!

You know something, these Longhorns have already surpassed my expectations for this season. To be in the "final 4" of college baseball is a fantastic accomplishment.  Anything else is gravy.  This team is on the younger side so the future looks good.

Nixon and Quintanilla are both definitely available tonight. Quintanilla only threw 22 pithes and Nixon threw 14. I bet they could get multiple innings out of both if they had to.
