From what I've read about Ash, his Defense is similar to what we saw last night. Simple and let's the players play and use their instincts.

Last night's game begs the question, did any of the coaches on the defensive side change their status going forward. Rumors have indicated that pretty much everyone except for Giles will be replaced. Seems Naiver might be a good one to keep.

Ohio State: Ohio State plans to elevate senior quality control coach Corey Dennis to quarterback coach Pete Thamel tweets. Dennis was expected to join the Colorado State staff prior to the departure of Buckeyes quarterbacks coach / pass game coordinator Mike Yurcich to Texas. Thamel adds that Yurcich will make $1.7 million at Texas.

Did you notice Chris Adimora? Kid played a helluva game. So glad he got the PT and could show his stuff. He knocked down a pass that would have otherwise been a TD.

Talk about a name from the past. I had to look up where he's at. He's been coaching at Stanford since 2014.

I'm sure Todd Orlando is glad for the UT defense and the way they played. However, it did not help him as far as getting another job.

He spent a few years coaching DL early in his career. Mainly been coaching safeties, special teams, or DC

Good point. Hard to know how much the overall defensive philosophy affected every defensive position individually and the coaches who handled them. It is clear however that the secondary was the most depleted by injuries on that side of the ball.

But how much say did he have during the season? I would bet he had very little.
