Sam had a bad day, but remember his position coach wasn't at the game today.Sam is not good.
Hell, after Maryland and Tulsa, I thought 2-3 was going to be goodInteresting stats
8 total Texas offensive possessions in the game
1 ended taking a knee
1 TD
1 FG
1 Missed FG
4 Punts
0 Turnovers
All of this on the road in a place where Texas has not won in a long time
Texas is 4-1, 2-0 in conference
Anyone here would have taken this if offered after the Maryland game. Absolutely everyone.
I thought he was well below 60% until I saw the stats. I guess he just missed on every throw downfield past 15 yards.kinda, glad we won and looking back OU struggled to beat Army and clemson barely escaped against syracuse so i guess all of them but bama has weak games but i desire more from MY team.![]()
Whats freaking odd is that Ehlingers accuracy comes out to 80% at the finally tally which is really good but damn i swear i've never seen any one as far off on some of his throws as him.
With all due respect, the things Sam did today are the same things Sam has done all season... every single game. He’s a bad passer. Shane has a better arm and accuracy and I would like to see what he could do with a pretty good OL.Sam had a bad day, but remember his position coach wasn't at the game today.
My bad...10 points.Offense scored 10![]()
edit:UTSA scored 17 and South Dakota 24(think all we’re offensive points, not sure) vs K State
And Shane would have been sacked multiple times. Sam's ability to extend the play and make first downs scrambling far out weigh his accuracy issues. With all due respect, the things Sam did today are the same things Sam has done all season... every single game. He’s a bad passer. Shane has a better arm and accuracy and I would like to see what he could do with a pretty good OL.
I think you've got a case of backup qb itis my man. Sam is playing pretty damn solid and getting it done. Every crap pass is equaled by a nails pass. I know the ratio should be better but like the above poster says he brings other intangibles and it's his second year. We've seen improvement, that is the main thing. There's no reason to think it won't continue. With all due respect, the things Sam did today are the same things Sam has done all season... every single game. He’s a bad passer. Yep, clearly you're the smartest person here. Congratulations.Evidently those guys have not watched enough football yet to see reality.
It looked lopsided early. All this game did for me was convince me Texas still needs to grow as a team. Most UT fans thought this would be a lopsided runaway............even during the game..........just saying...........so keep laughing about my comment close to halftime that this game could have easily been lost. Evidently those guys have not watched enough football yet to see reality.
I saw that after I wrote it.... no really, I'm not a plagiarist!Exactly my point. Haha
Most UT fans think Texas has the resources, history, recruiting base, etc..... to be elite. So, we do come across as spoiled when complaining about wins. Most UT fans thought this would be a lopsided runaway............even during the game..........just saying...........so keep laughing about my comment close to halftime that this game could have easily been lost. Perhaps call a meeting of all true freshman and D Young. Topic?Do not want #17 running trick plays.
