At 8-4 we might have the same problem....
with our schedule, the QB turnover the teams we face will have, we need 9-3 minimum. not saying we won't have a good class at 8-4 but that would not be a very good season baring some injuries.

If we win the 3 OOC games ( which I think we will ) I see at worst only 3 loses in Big 12 play.

So the brainiacs are saying "something is brewing" with RB Trey Sanders.  This is the 2nd time this has been mentioned now with the 247 national guy saying it a few weeks back.
Still will believe it when I see it. I want to see him at least step foot in Austin before I believe any inkling of something brewing there.

Well Cucko Fisher said he would have the first or second class in the country. So not much room left at the top.
That was bizarre, wasn't it?

No way that happens. He just set himself up for failure. But aggy will blame it on the BO Mafia and it will be okay.

I love recruiting, but I'm ready to see the winning product on the field.  Do that and everybody will want to come to Texas.

Better than 2018? Man im excited.. i gotta see it to believe it tho. Until we have solid lines and show that we can move the ball im not getting my hopes up.. too much
Better than last year?  That's why I said "trending".  But what I am hearing behind the scenes is Texas will be the team to beat for the conference title.  And this with OU being the media darling for that position.  Of course, everything always hinges on the injury front, but this is true of all teams.

Seahorn is hedging his bets a little, which is the prudent thing to do.  Maintaining ones credibility, as a mod, is paramount as the opposite could be a death knell.  Personally, I think Daniel has done a wonderful job and has been one of the better mods of all the sites.  He doesn't exhibit arrogance or condescention.  I like that.

I, on the other hand, have nothing to lose as most on here already think I am an obnoxious blowhard.

But, 10% to 90% of the time, I mostly know what I am talking about.  We gone be good this year and we gone have a fantastic recruiting class.  I think.

Who do you think will be the three losses and why?  This is not a snark question - I am truly curious.
@ K-State always worrys me and it's been forever since we've won in Bill's backyard.  Until we beat TCU I won't feel good about that, but this could be the year IMO.  They are replacing a ton and play Ohio State the week before so they could be beat up.  Always the possibility of one those WTF type of losses like Tech last year.

Intelligent response.  Yeah, the WTF loss is always a possibility.  Personally, I think WVU will be the scariest game in conference.

Does anybody think Demani Richardson has visited and nobody knows about it?

I understand you recruit until the end, but is Richardson worth the hassle with Cine and Watson looking like the top priorities?  I honestly don' know much about DR.

Watson is being recruited as a CB but we also look good for Jalen Catalon.

Another thing is the top 2 rated Safety's for 2020 ( early rankings ) are from Texas and we look good early on for both.  I've watched both hudls and they look like big time studs already.

Luckily we get WVU at home. That travel to/from the East Coast can take a toll. The Okie State game is one I'm interested in. Under previous coaches, this would probably be a loss, quite possibly a blowout loss. A bad loss to Okie State could start a tumble. This is where a good coach makes a difference.

I really think Herman is about to lead us out of the wandering aimlessly in the desert.....but he sadly does have a history of those WTF losses...

Doc I am worried about all of them. That’s what six years of shit football have done to me.
Hate to be a pessimist but I have to agree. Until I see that we can win consistently I’m holding off on putting any wins in the bag for next year. I know we have said this all before but this year will really be key in recruiting. We have to back up all the talk with production on the field in order to be successful in recruiting this year.

This would be a TERRIBLE loss. Okie lite will be WAY down this year. Most likely starting true freshman Spencer Sanders. Even at Boone pickins this better be a double digit victory. Hell the whole conference is down. This is texas shot. To gain momentum. Record was crap last year but we were soooo close many times. Herm was teaching how to win. It’ll only get better

I think anything less than 10 wins (including bowl) will be a disappointment unless we have another O-line health meltdown. We've got real experience and talent.
