ULL gets a lead off walk to start the 5th and the Texas bullpen begins to stir.

ULL tries to slash, and it successfully advances the runner to second, as a ground ball back to Henley results in a 1-3 putout.

ULL gets on the board with a 2 out RBI single to left. 1-0 ULL.

Texas responds with a run in the bottom half of the 5th on Hamilton's walk, Hibbeler's bunt single, Clemens sacrifice bunt and Todd's sac fly. The damage could have been worse as Lahare robs Petrinsky at the wall.

McGuire gets a 1-2-3 inning with the help of David Hamilton's glove.

Ryan Reynolds connects for a 2 out double.

Tate Shaw makes over in LF, Hibbeler moves to 2B

A 2 out RBI double gives ULL the lead. Texas goes to the bullpen and brings in Josh Sawyer.

Offense really struggling so far. 

9 runs in 25 innings. Seems the same from last year. Pitching carrying the way.

Scoring for the Horns has been down to a trickle for some time now.

Boys hit the ball hard today and couldn't get hardly anything to fall.  Couple of nice plays by CF Lahare for ULALA robbed some XBHs.

Overall I'm pleased with the weekend.  LSU dropped their series to Notre Dame, so I'm confident in what we'll see next weekend.  The bullpen for Texas did pretty well, think they let up 1 or 2 earned runs on the weekend.  I'll take that every series and take my chances.

Would have been nice for Texas to start the season with a sweep, but taking 2 out of 3 is a great start.
