One of my favorite broadcasters, Keith Jackson, passed away. I love his lines like “Whoa Nellie!” or talking about the offensive line as the “Big Uglies.” My favorite line by him is describing Vince Young’s winning touchdown against USC (team ESPN called the greatest college team of all time): “He’s going for the corner...he’s got it!”

GOAT. RIP.

He was my second favorite of all time behind only The Great One -- Kern Tips !!
I remember  Kern and the SWC Exxon radio network.  Got to listen to every SWC game that you wanted to. Back then UT was only on tv 2 or 3 times a season and that included the bowl game.

RIP Mr. Jackson.

To me you have no peer.

My favorite is "He ain't got no handles."

I'm going to watch the greatest CFB game ever, which you called, at my earliest opportunity.

Wasn't sure anyone on this board would remember Kern Tips. Ah, Sat afternoons listening to SWC games on the radio. One phrase I remember as "swing the gate play."  Weren't those sponsored by Mobil or Humble Oil?

I heard today that the 2006 Championship game was Keith's last to call. Perfect!!

Whoa Nelly! R.I.P. My favorite broadcaster of all time.

He's goin' for the corner.........He's got it.
