Great move by Herman. This allows him plenty of time to make the 10th hire while Carrington is out on the road recruiting. Texas may not even make the 10th hire until after NSD.

And that is fine. The staff should be fully focused on recruiting right now and not worry about the 10th coach. Take your time once this class is wrapped up to find the best possible guy out there and get him to the 40 acres. No use in jumping the gun in what could be one of the most significant hires in TH's short tenure, especially if the 10th coach will be involved in play-calling.

OB reporting that Noel Mazzone, former aggie OC, will come on staff as a Quality Control coach as opposed to offensive coordinator or 10th assistant. Aggie owes him over a million dollars. Interesting.

He’s made himself very valuable to the staff as a key contact with recruits and parents. Putting him out on the trail is a savvy move.

Gunnell is more likely to Arkansas. Chad Morris has put A&M on the defensive there.
