Buechele update (9/8/17)

Knowing what we know now about how David Ash turned out, what is the play SHA?

PS I still think Shane was concussed on the first play.

You really have no options. You have Sam, Heard, and I had heard that we have a walk-on who had played himself in front of Matthew Merrick which is more or less why Merrick moved on.

The walk-on is a true freshman. Lord willing we'll never see that guy

Damn, this sucks. Hopefully he'll get back soon. On the other hand I'm intrigued to see what Sam can do, and there is probably no better game for him to make his debut than SJSU.

We may need to try take Tisdale along with Rojo for 2019 to go with the 2 commits for thime 2018 class so we aren't in a bind like this going forward.

Well...Sam has the same amount of time working with the staff for his first game as Shane did last year against ND. That worked out ok for us. Then also he will be working in a system similar to what he ran in HS.Thank goodness he was an early enrollee....

I'm excited to watch Sam, but he CANT get hurt. That'd be great death of us

Are y'all watching Gameday? Are y'all hearing what Ricky Williams is saying regarding Heard playing?

Cory seems to think it would be best if Boo could play against USC. I want both guys to succeed and Texas to win.

I do wonder if we were playing with a more limited playbook today.  Sam was definitely helped out with a strong running game which would have really helped Boo.

The short version is this:  I think both qb's have strengths and weaknesses, but Boo does have a year of experience under his pads.  The one thing I'm absolutely certain of?  If one of the qb's has a bad game, Texas fans will be screaming for the other guy.

I hope Heard gets back to receiver soon.  We need his dynamic presence there

USC 347 yards at half, if that don't scare ya I don't know what will lol. Gonna have to come to play. This may turn into the toughest schedule in years. Good USC team good Kansas state team, damn for Nou team and damn good okiestate. Big stretch comin our way

what?....Me worry?....2 things will be true Saturday that havnt as yet been true....

#1....We will have a tight end This week which we havnt had yet. So what if he is a freshman and has yet to play a game. He is a tight end.

#2..We know we have a running back in Warren so Porter doesnt have to take up space any more.

#2a.....We will have a legitimate QB controversy no matter what, so them Trojans are sure to be confused.

Playbook was definitely very bland against San Jose State.
