I wouldn't expect a lot of movement with OU recruits. IMO, Riley was the bigger attraction instead of Stoops. Stoops was going through some Mack Brown times in recent years. He'd lost his touch. Games we had no business being in with them, we were giving it to them, even with a TE at QB and before that, a HS QB. His brother, Mike, has also lost his mojo.

So Riley was and is OU's answer to Tom Herman. Young, brash, smart, and with a great reputation. This is why it was a no brainer to insert Riley for them. They see what Herman is doing and what OU is not doing.

As for our DE in enemy territory, yeah, I think this gives him pause if he was considering a move to OU. I think it's a little late in the game for Riley to try to find another DC, so he's stuck with Mike for the time being. I don't think our guy jumps ship for Mikey. And Riley is an offensive guy, so he's no help with this recruit.

As far as I know, we haven't sold or surrendered Allen, Texas to Oklahoma.
