Poster on another site, who says his source has connections to the staff, says we have a QB coming in. Says it's a done deal and that we would be hearing about it soon. And that it's a big name with ties to the state and to Herman. That makes it sound like Kyle Allen.

Will Allen be available to play immediately? I read somewhere that he graduated or is scheduled to graduate this summer. aggy meltdown in....

All I know is that he is a long time poster and I recognize his handle. Response to him so far in that thread is on the "not believing" side. Which is to be expected.

Getting Barrett would not suck at all. Barrett had an outstanding freshman campaign with Herman as the OC. With Herman now the head coach, I think Barrett would return to form if he transfers here.

Her was sitting out his transfer year. He was a regular transfer last year.

Either of those guys (Allen or Barrett) would be welcome. But I'll believe it with Barrett when I see it.

Regardless, this is a very good time for recruiting so not much would surprise me.

I had forgotten that The Brainiacs hinted at a large shakeup/bold move by Texas in offensive recruiting a couple of weeks ago. Found it from back on May 16th. 

– Bonus Note: There has been some chatter of a rather large shakeup in terms of offensive recruiting based off of some things that have happened over the last week or so. I’m not going to go into detail on it right now, as it might not happen. I will just say that if it does, it would be a bold move by Texas.
