What do you think is a realistic expectation for this years team? I feel pretty good that Cooper is going to win a lot of games so when he is on the mound I expect us to be in most games.

Realistic is top 3 in the conference, and playing in the post season.  I don't think hosting a Regional is in the cards, unless something drastic happens with the other teams in the state.  Teams like TCU, TT, Rice, A&M and Dallas Baptist all will have shots this year, with four of those teams in the preseason Top 25.  Typically you won't see more than two Regional Hosts in Texas.  Unless Texas wins the Big12, I don't see it happening this year.  

The team has a lot of young talent and depth is no longer an issue.  Pitching has, as they say, arms for days.  Hitting approach has looked very good from everything I've seen and heard.  Defensively we are solid. 

The team has set their sights on Omaha, and while fans may see that as a pipe dream, nothing is out of the question.  Appearing in a Regional, with a possible Super Regional should be seen as a tremendous step in the right direction this year.  Personally, I intend on enjoying this year and whatever happens, happens.  We will surprise some folks this year.
