I am just not excited to play Baylor now!

I may be ready for a new coach, but I'm still heading down to Austin to cheer on my Horns for a win. Nothing will ever change that.
Yep, come Saturday, I'll be in my usual spot in the stadium.

when "you're" in your usual spot, keep the negativity to "yourself".  the people behind me were ragging on just about every play (iowa st game).

i'll be at the wv game.  i hope they aren't.

Yes, I agree it's hard to get excited for this game. What's scary also is that then we have to play Texas Tech in Lubbock with the best QB they have ever had and just scored 59 points against OU. This is scarier than halloween.

Mahomes was 52-of-88 passing (no, that's not a typo; he threw eighty-eight passes) for an FBS record-tying 734 yards and five touchdowns.

I agree that CS needs to win out to keep his job. What's sad to say is that I not sure if that would be in the best interest for UT.

Question for each of you flipping about that Charlie is still walking the sidelines: what happens if he ISN'T fired???

Charlie is gone, this coming from someone who was very excited when he was hired. I also believe he is a great person but Texas is regressing in their losses. The only thing that may save him is if Texas wins out and looking at the schedule, that is a hard task.

To answer "your" question, if he comes back next year I will truly hope he and the Horns will go undefeated. I'll be there, at the stadium, rooting for them.

Well thanks for the English lesson but not sure why.  Just so you know, when I'm at the stadium , I cheer for my Horns. Always have and I always will.
my point for quoting "you're" is to make it a general statement.  it is not a statement for just you.  it is for everyone in the stadium.

You know.... I'm not so sure they will kill us.  We do play much better at home; and I do NOT believe Baylor is top ten.

They have a weak run defense which lines up against our greatest strength (running the ball).  I actually smell a possible upset.  But then again, I thought we would beat KState.  Not much credibility any more.

I hear you mctmatt.... long term health of the program could possibly be better with an L on Saturday.... if a W meant that we would stay on the current path.  But I bet you watch and root for a victory.... you can't help yourself!
Let me nip all of these PM's in the bud.... I do not do this kind of thing for money!

Damn Dalton you and 83Dee called it early in the week! I still think we need to make the change even if we win out. This conference is very very weak so it is hard to get excited as I don't want to fall into the trap of thinking we are really improving.
Agree, we are a 10 win team with the right coaching staff

I can see us losing 3 of our last 4 games to finish 5-7. I can also see us winning 3 of the last 4 to finish 7-5, which is what I predicted before the season, with us winning a bowl game to go 8-5. If that latter scenario plays out, there is no way Charlie is fired. No. Way. If Texas beats Kansas (they will), West Virginia (very winnable) and Texas Tech (75-74 maybe), it will get a bowl that is also winnable. I'm not counting TCU as a win, but it certainly could be, too. I have zero confidence this team wins 3 of last 4, but I'd also not be shocked if they did.

I wrote about this in another thread, where I was attempting satire.

If this happens (and I am one who thinks there is a very good chance of it), here is what hopefully takes place:

If they are going to do this.... CS needs to be encourage to stoically look at the coaching staff with financial support to make changes.  People who are not performing need to be let go regardless of contract status.  The proverbial "blank check" is given to find the best Defensive Coordinator for this ridiculous conference.  Highly encourage him to go outside his comfortable coaching tree and use the resources available at Texas.

I hate to do this, but I am compelled.  ATM's coach was a dead man walking a couple years ago.  And... a really, really good DC has him in the conversation for the playoffs with a one loss team right now.

Aggy defense, outside of the two stellar DEs, is really not that good. They are nowhere near Auburn, Alabama, Florida or LSU good defensively.
