Chris Daniels

This kid could be the most important recruit for this recruiting class. It is always good to have a pipeline to Euless and UT needs DT's badly. He comes from a program that will have him ready to play at a high level early.

I imagine Vahe is in Daniel's ear.

Euless Trinity has great talent, especially OL and DL, every year. It's an excellent program to cultivate.

While Daniels is high on defensive coordinator John Chavis and the potential of playing in the SEC, he was blown away on his official visit to Texas over the weekend. “It went really really well,†Daniels said. “My favorite part was that Patrick Vahe was my host. He took me around the campus and really helped me learn a lot about the university. He said that I’m his little bro and that I could help him rep the state of Texas, so I’m definitely looking into it.†One of the most important parts of his trip was getting to sit down with Texas head coach Charlie Strong and defensive line coach Brick Haley. The trio had a very productive conversation on what his role would be and why Texas could be the best fit for him.
Daniels said he enjoyed his meeting and feels like he now has an entirely different perspective on what Texas is truly trying to accomplish under Strong. “I really like Coach Strong, and I really respect what he’s doing,†Daniels said. “He’s a person that holds everyone accountable and demands respect. He also told me about how a large makeup of his team and staff is African-American and how he helps everybody graduate. Coach Strong and Coach Haley also said that they don’t have a lot of defensive tackles and that I would 100 percent have the opportunity to come in and play right away as a true freshman.â€

If Texas wins some games establish relationships early and recruits like this on a consistent basis they are going to be a contender very soon.
