True Freshman battle on the hill between the Longhorns' Nolan Kingham (0-0, 0.00 ERA) and Stanford's Kris Bubic (0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 SV)

Both are getting their first collegiate starts tonight.

Some of you will take a look at the UT lineup today and see that there have been a number of changes.  Don't put a lot of stock into this.  Texas has a very deep team, and with this being a four-game series, it will give the coaching staff an opportunity to take a look at different lineups.  It allows them to assess different combinations, and take stock of what they have and what works.  I'm guessing we will see a number of different looks this weekend.

Texas wearing the white pants with burnt orange pinstripes, burnt orange jerseys, undershirts, belts and socks, black spikes and white cap with burnt orange bill.

I like that we are using a"Tuesday night" guy tonight instead of bringing back the weekend guys on 6 day rest. It's nice to have a plethora of arms.

Sawyer was having some arm soreness which is why he isn't starting tonight.  But you're correct, it's a luxury to have all these arms.

Nothing to show for it, but we've made their starter throw 42 pitches through 2. 
That's not a bad thing.  This kid has some good offspeed stuff and is mixing it up well when he is ahead in the count.
