Ole Miss looks like they are in serious trouble

Recruiting is a dirty game. Poor Deontay Anderson.

The 6-foot-1, 202-pounder also addressed whether current NCAA charges of rule violations against Ole Miss have clouded his view. They have not. "I talked to Coach Freeze about [potential violations]," Anderson said, adding that "he said it was about things that had happened in the past before he got to Ole Miss. I knew he would be honest with me. When I first heard it, it didn't shake me up."

Fraudulent inducement if true. Ole Miss wouldn't be able to keep Anderson from going to his second choice if he so chose. Wonder if Strong would take him after all this. Not the kids fault he was lied to, but it is his fault for choosing Ole Miss over us.

It's Anderson's fault for believing him. He signed the commitment papers and faxed them in. He can stay at Ole Miss or transfer and sit out a year.

Can't believe anderson believed Hugh Freeze bullshit lies
With media as it is these days, hard to believe recruits looking at Ole Miss or Baylor, can't get a read on what they are getting associating with (ala the news out today re: Baylor). Here Texas sits with character to boot, and a storm of savage talent brewing. It's really not that hard to figure out.

Throw in aggy culture while you're at it. Per recent transfers.

if ole miss gets put on probation with bowl ban players can transfer without sitting out. but it is troubling that kids do not have adults looking out for them so that coaches can not pull the wool over their eyes. i think Charlie would take Anderson if his status with ole miss changes before the season but i do not think Charlie is very receptive to taking transfers as he would rather use scholarship on high school kid.

Would love to get Little but he would just transfer within the SEC..would also love to get one of those DT's can never have enough..ask LSU

It's nice to root for a university where such allegations never seem to surface.  I mean, for as long as I've cheered for The University of Texas, I don't recall anything that warrants NCAA investigation, much less sanctions.  Hooray for the good guys!!!  HOOK 'EM! \\m//

Like I said several weeks ago and have said for several years, you don't go from irrelevant to elite in 3 years and start landing No. 1 recruiting classes because you hire a coach from Arkansas State who happened to coach one famous guy in high school. Ole Miss is dirty, just like SMU was in the 1980s, maybe not to that extent, but you can bet they are.

I'm not one to normally pull "your school cheats" but I have no doubt Ole Miss is dirty after the Tunsil recruitment.

Every time I read stories like this, I'm always reminded of the old Jerry Tarkanian quote.

"The NCAA is so mad at Kentucky that it will probably slap another 2 years probation on Cleveland State".

Looks like Mr. Freeze besides being a possible liar and cheater is also a hypocrite.

Hugh Freeze's Fall From Grace

Exhibit A: If Freeze’s “faith-based recruiting†includes giving his testimony to prospects I am fine with that. More power to him. But when he uses it as a crutch to get ahead, I have a problem with it. And that’s exactly what he’s been doing – claiming Dan Mullen is not a Christian to a number of recruits. This has been going on since the class of 2012 when he told one of our prized commits something to the effect of ‘I fear for your soul if you go to Mississippi State’.
