I think you are correct and hope so. I am telling you though this isn't the Baylor, TCU of old. They have the spread hurry up offense that scores alot of points and that is what kids want to play. I hope our offense does the same. Kids don't seem to care about distance of a school from home anymore. They will go to Bama, UCLA, Stanford etc without batting an eye. I hope our on the field product greatly improves this coming year and we will hopefully see kids want to stay home.

You mentioned Alabama and Stanford in the same sentence. Is that a first?

Did you happen to miss that story about the basketball player at Baylor who killed his teammate and all the trouble Dave Bliss went to to hide it? Christians are just like everybody else. They can be the best or worst kind of folks at any given time, given the right motivation.

First off great job on here w info and limited useless banter w obvious trolls. I dont have any insd info so just been reading but needed to post this - as name suggest I went to SWT on scholarship but raised orangeblooded. Have a much youbger sister who went to atm and spent time w her this weekend, she works w all aggies and had 20-25 couples. Their prevailing themes are 2 fold in regards to CS and recruiting - A - they simple dont believe ( i see the irony) - they believe the majoriry of the percieved list of 15 or so commits we are still in on or have will be at atm or wise up and be mighty sec affiliated in the end - it took me a min to see the vision as well but its VERY obvious CS has turned this cycle on its ear both w recruits gained and in its functuallity -- they backtrack tho to say even if it does work out it wont work every year ( sure thats true this falling like it has and will has been blessed w hard work and some luck) but ir doesnt have to - when THE University starts rolling again waiting on players will flip and the power to get players early will be much easier !!! Or they say how bout the Fla 5 or the ppl who left thats how his recruiting looks good - BS- attrition happens and we admittedly prolly took a few risks in that class but still had a better if not egual class as atm and this went way over their heads - 3 freshman all americans- 2 on a line we all know suxed- the predator - nuff said - 2 really good secondary players and 1 Mr Warren - needs addressed!!! This class DT a weakness - now Boom 4-5 players QB good one here - one on the way - simple said CS can evaluate can recruit can maximize potential but even in the face of all this all they could say is - he'll be fired next year yada yada yada- Give this man his respect -HES EARNED IT - GREAT JOB COACH - I BELIEVE !!!! Sorry for rambling had to vent and wife keeps turning up radio at the mention of the word recruiting ðŸ˜

Yes I remember the basketball tragedy as well.

My point was for a school to sell the idea of Christian values to recruits and families then pull this shit to save Briles football program.  Briles is a piece of shit, period.  The school is obviously trying to save Briles instead of doing the right thing.  This Hypocrisy damages the faith perception, just as nutcase Christian shooting people in a Planned Parenthood.
