5-star DT Rashard Lawrence has 29 CBs, all to LSU -- seems like a lock

And they already have 4-star DT Edwin Alexander and 4-star DT Glen Logan committed in this class
Further, their 2016 depth chart shows 4 sophomores in their two-deep at DT

This has got to get the attention of DCG who has mentioned he wants early PT

Taylor too although they seemed to have backed off him

Michigan is making a late push for DT Ellison Jordan (PSU commit)

This is in addition to Gary

This is what you want to see with regard to Elliott

Some 247 on Jones --

"... The X-factor in Jones’ recruitment could turn out to be Texas assistant Jeff Traylor.  One of the most notable high school coaches in East Texas history, Traylor has an excellent relationship with Jones, his family and (Nacogdoches head coach Bobby) Reyes.  Traylor made it back out to his former stomping grounds to see Jones on Tuesday, and Reyes said the meeting was positive.  “They had a good talk,†Reyes said. “Brandon has a really good relationship with Coach Traylor.  He relates well to the kids, and he’s done a really good job recruiting Brandon during his time at Texas.â€

Jones will make an official visit to Arkansas this weekend before using his final trip on Baylor.  Jones will then make his final decision on National Signing Day.  Wherever Jones ends up, Reyes believes he can be a difference maker from Day 1.  “Texas has lost some kids at safety, so I feel like he could go in there and start right away,†Reyes said.  “A&M has both starters returning, but they’ve told him he could still see the field.  Baylor and Arkansas have also talked about early playing time.  He’ll have the opportunity to contribute early at any of those schools.â€

Per 247

247Sports:  Andrew Fitzgerald , made a giant jump up 153 spots to the No. 97 player in the country. He is now the No. 8 strong-side defensive end.

Hudson's Silssbee coach's comments from Football Brainiacs --

â€œPatrick hasn’t missed school since he was in kindergarten…if he visits a place, especially in the middle of the week, there is real interest."

Coach also mentioned that there are a few Texas faithful that are close to the Hudson family who have helped get Texas back at the table with Hudson. Hudson’s high school head coach was roommates with Art Briles at Houston however I’m told that there has been no pressure to go to Baylor and this really will be a decision left to Hudson and his family. Also, as many of you know, Hudson has a twin sister who plans on participating in track at Baylor. However, the coach mentioned that she is open to Texas as well but could not make the visit to Austin this week.

Another odd Harbaugh story

"OT Erik Swenson decommits from Michigan, says offer was pulled and official visit was canceled"

"Erik Swenson was the longest-tenured commitment in Michigan's 2016 recruiting class.

No longer.

Swenson tweeted Wednesday that he's reopening his commitment due to "unforeseen circumstances."

In a text message to MLive, the four-star offensive tackle said Michigan recently pulled its scholarship offer and canceled his previously scheduled official visit. He said the program did not provide a reason for doing so. He declined to speak further on the matter at this time....."
