Of course but what I am getting at is the current in state talent pool for interior lineman. We have Imade which is good but there isn't a lot of talent left besides Okafor and a player from Hallsville that Texas hasn't even offered. The guy has offers from Auburn,Arkansas, Ohio State and Georgia Tech to name a few, and we haven't even extended one. 

The rest are either 2 star guys or already committed.

Your under the false impression that OL that have committed to other teams are off the market. Dickson, Aucoin, and Imade were all recruits that were committed to other schools that switched to UT. It looks like you can add Delance to that list in the future.

I think that Wickline is known for developing guys that aren't always touted prospects. If Wickline continues to has success, which he has for a long time now, it only makes sense that we start landing bigger name guys down the road. I'm not going to worry until we continually fail to put a strong o-line on the field. I think we will be much improved this year even with the youth on the line. Raulerson played a bunch last year and he hasnt been in the 1st team line up...that says something about the young guys and development of the guys as a whole.

I still think we are going to land some big names on the OL. I said this awhile back, the staff is confident in several targets or they would have offered a few other targets.

We are looking at a nice grouping over the next couple years of Williams, Vahe and quite possibly/likely Delance.

Need more still, but have to admit that has the markings of a stout group.

Don't forget about Ronnie Major. He is raw but he could turn out to be a pretty good lineman himself. He's 6'6 and was a tackle in high school but I watched his tape and wouldn't mind him in the guard spot.

Once Strong starts winning he will own Texas recruiting. parents want their sons to play for him, NFL teams know his ability to produce talent which high school coaches notice. the only negative for Charlie is Texas has been sub par 4 out of 5 seasons( less than 9 win season is sub par).Charlie will restock Texas into NFL pipeline as his recruits mature. it is amazing how national media seems to blame Strong for lack of talent yet they insist Mack should have been allowed to keep coaching.

Sure, he has a tendency to hold a bit, but no ref ever calls him on it.

6figs (Hamm) just CB'd Delance to Texas followed closely by a CB from EJ Holland for Texas. According to the other site, Holland recently did an interview with Delance where the OT explained that he was upset about the way A&M had been recruiting him.  Apparently their new OL coach isn't making any friends on the recruiting trail.

I believe when Wickline was hired the above referenced phrase spread across the UT supporters.  I wonder why?  Oklahoma State has only (2) OL currently on NFL rosters and one of those is Russell Okung.  Here is a look at these "developed" OL amongst Big XII schools:

here are the 3 OLs currently in the mix for this class--

Denzel Okafor (6'4,275)
Jean Delance (6'5,270)
Patrick Hudson (6-5,320)

Okafor has been considered a heavy TCU lean but recently postponed his announcement

Delance recently said he "feels pretty strong about Texas.† He specifically mentioned he's friends with MJ, Charles O., and Elliott.  Says he talks to them all the time.  He says its "neck and neck" us and aggy.

ps -- Another possibility for 2016 is JUCO OL Gewhite Stallworth (6'7,345-to-354) who is at Navarro. He camped with us.

TThanks for the clarification. Maybe I drank the Kool-aid a little prematurely before seeing the facts. However, Okie St has put solid O Lines on the field over the years. For Wickline, you have to believe that recruitment at Okie St is a much tougher battle than it will be here for the higher touted recruits.

I don't see Wickline as completely overhauling his recruitment and evaluation techniques, I just think being at Texas opens up stronger avenues for bringing in bigger name recruits he didnt have before. I think moving forward we will land some big name oline recruits but don't see us abandoning the search for diamond in the rough guys and quality juco guys either
