Bob's on Lemmon Ave. is one of my favorites.  Old school and they do it right.

Not to hijack this thread, but quick question: Is Texas known for steaks?

I've tried many good steaks places around DFW, Del Frisco's is my personal #1 but it is also probably the most expensive.

I think I'll take my San Diego friend to Reatta since we'll be in Ft. Worth that day. I asked her if she wanted to eat anything in particular (never been to Texas), she said steak, bbq, and Tex-Mex. Chuy's a good option for Tex-Mex right?

Back when they were only in Corpus Christi, my dad, who was a painter, used to paint all of their restaurants. Years later when I was at UT, my dad suggested I look up Mr. Dobson's daughter, who was at UT at the same time. She was a Scottish Rite girl. When I ran into her on campus, I told her about it. She was amused.

My bride was also ensconced in SRD.  The most unassailable structure on campus.  A 10:00PM curfew, on weekdays, was ridiculous.  A 12:00PM on weekends was even worse.

I hate you guys so much right now!!!! You know how long it has been since I've had a whataburger? Jacks tacos? Chuy's? A good steak? You are all evil!!!

Of all the things I miss, Taco Cabana runs at 2 in the morning, Magnolia's Love Migas (Maudi's if I'm really hungover, they use bacon grease....) a little later in the morning then ZTejas Z-Tini's to wrap up the evening hours. I'll be back for a game this fall, can't wait!

There is a Coopers BBQ right in the stockyards across from Billy Bob's.

Chuy's is good, but I'd probably also consider Uncle Julio's near University and I-30 and/or Joe T Garcia's in the Stockyards.
