Texas vs TCU game thread (with post-game coverage)

No Holmes, but Felix is back.

[Matt Cotcher]

Last place team in conference standings + midweek game + fan perception of team = Nobody here tonight.

And I do mean nobody.

It's pretty bad from what I see.

[Matt Cotcher]

3 Guard lineup (Yancy) with Holmes out.

Turner gets a start and turns it over 20 seconds into the game. He obviously doesn't know read Flanagan's recaps.

[Matt Cotcher]

UT women up 14-10 at the same time as the men.

Mind. Blown.

[utisdabomb12]

Great ball movement so far from Texas. Felix and Yancy are playing well.

[utisdabomb12]

Good half for Texas.

[Matt Cotcher]

Halftime score: Texas 31 - TCU 16

[utisdabomb12]

Texas very sloppy in the second half. TCU cuts the lead to 10.

[drgilbert]

Yeah, for a team leading by 10 we are playing like sh!t! Can't seem to find an open shot.

[drgilbert]

Guess Barnes doesn't have any confidence in Turner. He is sitting on the bench while TCU creeps back.

[Aaron Carrara]

Felix with 16 points tonight. He's playing well.

This team does not make crisp passes. Looks lazy and creates turnovers. Defense keeps them in games, but need to run an offense with purpose. Too much dribble and hand off along the three point line ala the Washington Generals v Globetrotters. The bigs seem to get open at times but no entry pass comes their way. However, we are in the lead!

[Aaron Carrara]

And big Cam Ridley with 14 points tonight.  Texas needs him to play like this every game.

[utisdabomb12]

Texas in control now with 3:28 to play.

I don't blame him. Turner needs to stop turning the ball over.

[Aaron Carrara]

A lot of folks are critical of Rick Barnes but 600 wins is no joke.  It is impressive no matter which away you cut it.
