LSU plans to pursue John Chavis’ buyout

Chavis owes LSU $400,00 as part of the provision, according to The Shreveport Times‘ Glenn Guilbeau. The school intends to pursue the money it is owed.

“I’m not sure if we’ll get it, but we’re going to try to get it,†LSU board memberRonald Anderson told Guilbeau. “That was part of his contract. It’s his obligation.â€

What has been hilarious to me is Aggy's constant harping on the SEC connection.  ("SEC Ready", etc,) I looked at Texags and saw continual references to the SEC as the reason for their self-perceived superiority to UT.  The funny thing is that living in the middle of SEC country as I do, I rarely hear anything about A&M.  I honestly hear more discussion about Vanderbilt and Missouri than A&M on the local media.  I've heard as many references (one) to UT's recruiting class as to A&M's in the media here.  It's like they are still in another conference to the pro-SEC media in MS.

Those silly aggies think and act like their move to the SEC was some kinda merit-based promotion.

Needless to say, it was not. Bowtie worked the back-channels while their former AD, Billy Byrne, talked lied about A&M's "commitment to the Big12". SEC wanted into TX for the soon to be launched SEC Network and aggie made themselves available.
