2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

.....

Re: Mike Groh - He's a fantastic coach who the players love.  I'm a Bears fan and have suffered through the last couple of decades, but the WR play these last two years (despite erratic QB play) has been fantastic.  He's been a great coach for young players Alshon Jeffrey and Marquess Wilson and has had to deal with a very difficult personality in Brandon Marshall.  I don't know anything about Mike Groh as a recruiter, but as a coach he has been tremendous for the Bears.......

Re: Camrin Knight - I'm surprised they're still talking with him, I had assumed he was just a fall back option if Clarington didn't commit.  Maybe because of the recent transfer the coaches want to get another guy in.

Strangely enough the Bears hired another Louisville assistant last season (Clint Hurtt).
Groh was named Rivals and 24/7 recruiter of the year at Alabama so I would say he's an excellent recruiter. Your correct that he's considered a top notch coach also. He also has in his favor of being Coach Strong's QB coach in 2010 at Louisville.

Mike Groh sounds interesting. He is Al Groh's son, and he was also sued by a former jilted employer like Wickline. I'm seeing a trend...

So this may mean something, or it may mean nothing - but Bobby Burton threw out Vernon Adams name as the name of a QB he'd think would be a good get for Texas as a transfer QB.

When asked later whether this was just a name Bobby was throwing out there that he'd like to see, or whether this is someone Texas is targeting.  Burton replied that 'Texas has not been in direct contact with Adams' (emphasis my own).

So I don't know if there has been some back-channel discussions - but Adams had been mentioned as a possible early entrant into the draft.  It wouldn't be crazy to think he would transfer to an FBS school and try to up his stock before going into the 2016 draft.

He's an absolute stud at the FCS level.

Capt Butthurt ..... or Capt Obvious?

"I was, at the time, a big Texas fan," Bindel said. "I wasn't really happy with the way (Barrett) got treated. I felt like they mislead him a little bit and they chose to go Tyrone Swoopes and not offer J.T. I don't know if J.T. would have gone there had he not gotten offered, but Texas, i don't feel like handled the situation the right way.

"They don't have a quarterback and Ohio State has three."

Ugh.  Thats a big loss for next years team.  That OL is going to be a struggle again.  Hodges starts on one side - who is going to start on the other?

Exciting video at least

Someone this elusive would be a huge help to our OL

This kid could teach Aggy a thing or two about Swag. Seriously though, holy arm strength. I wouldn't mind having a kid like this under center next season at all.

Check out the throw he makes ~ 2:00 mark

He basically threw it across the Red Sea (heh)

The the first bump at ~2:27 (total swag move)

In 2013, he threw for nearly 5,000 yards and had 55 TD passes (in 15 games)

As starter for 3 years ---

288 ypg

110 TD to 31 INT

Has one year of eligibility left

In a playoff game vs SHSU when he was a freshman, down 35-0, he came off the bench to throw for 6 TDs ... in the 2nd half.

Take it for what it's worth, but 24/7 had a source tell them this morning "it's a fact" that CB Davante Davis will remain with Texas.  As far as ATH Tim Irvin goes, Texas will need to keep fighting but the same source believes he'll end up at UT.

I hope that is from someone who spoke to him after he chatted with Auburn and Miami and Florida.
