2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

With Burt gone, and Higdon saying they may not have room for him I wonder if they take another WR at all.

Mack and Warren have scholarships reserved IMO.  Strong will hold their spot until they sign elsewhere.

Boyd & Hill might as well be commits.

That leaves two more spots for a whole bunch of candidates:

Nick Brossette

Carlos Strickland

Kai Locksley (sounds like if he wants one of those last two spots its his for the taking)

Ryan Newsome

Mark Fields (a definite take if he wants to come here - I guess Strong would oversign if necessary)

Soso Jamabo (longest of long shots, but Texas is still recruiting him)

He put his username on Twitter saying he was answering any questions so I figured I'd ask him

That's consistent with some media reports too.

He offers such exciting possibilities for our offense.

But, as with all things, we will see.

I would hope Richmond too.

Jeff Howe says he would have started for us as a high school senior.

Which is probably not much of a stretch.

Oh I'm sure Strong would find a way to take Richmond, I just don't think there is much of a possibility that he picks Texas.  That's just my own opinion, but we seem to be coming in so late that I'd be shocked if he picked the good guys.

Of course I was shocked when Malik and Deandre put on their caps - so what the hell do I know...

Some Mark Fields quotes --

“Coach Strong, I have a good relationship with him and Coach Vaughn.  I really like what they're building on defense.â€

“That (commitments like Jefferson and Irvin) lets me know what Coach Strong is building is going to work.  He turned Louisville around and I'm pretty sure he's going to do the same thing with Texas in the near future.â€

“It's going to be a big deal because I'd be away from my mom and all of my friends.  But at the end of the day I just have to make the best decision for myself and my future.â€

“Yes (Texas is in it). “Absolutely.â€

A new out-of-state prospect showing interest in Texas is WR Van Jefferson of Brentwood, TN (24/7):

“I want to take an official out there,†Jefferson told Horns247. “I talked to Coach Vaughn and Texas is just a great school. Kris Boyd is one of my good friends and he has been telling me a lot about Texas.â€

“Coach Vaughn was just telling me how I could come make an impact and wants me to visit,†he said. “I’m still trying to figure everything out with the coaches.â€

“I just know they’re an up-and-coming program and will be a top notch program,†he said.

I personally think Burt wants to be a Longhorn. Let's see what happens with his dad I guess.
I feel for the kid. It seems as if his only reason for not being committed right now is because his father is obsessed with Auburn. I'd like to know why his father feels the way he does about Auburn. This isn't like Malik's mom loving Texas, in which she cited Strong's principles and etc. as being the reason. Auburn isn't exactly a beacon in College Football. They've been very good over the past ten years but they're not even cracking the Top 5 in Most Popular teams in the SEC. (Alabama, LSU, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia). I just hoping that nothing is afoul for Burt's sake.

Rivals national rank - these 3 are pretty close

Sounds like A&M is fixing to offer Chris Warren. The Aggies have no shifted their narrative on Warren. He's no longer overrated but a Heisman candidate in a few years.  :P

So any chance if mora goes to the nfl we get soso?

Also if we get boys hill and field, would any of them be redshirted or no?

I'm not sure Soso is an option, because Strong doesn't see him as a RB. He's being recruited as an athlete from what I've read.

Higdon is still saying something big is going down, "As many of you know, I have eluded to something big in the works for some time now. It is going to happen, I can promise you that and this could be the only time you ever see me promise anything with regards to anything recruiting related because I just don't do that. That is how strongly I feel about this situation."
