2015 Recruiting Season is in full swing

The All-Lobby Team

— Twitter API (@twitterapi) November 7, 2011

Chris Warren â€“ At 240 pounds, Warren is a massive dude as a running back. It's scary to think that he's got sub 11 second 100 meter speed at that size.

Deandre Baker â€“ Baker was among the smallest prospects in attendance. He's only 5-10. He's only 172 pounds. But the Georgia commit's 36 inch arms are longer than massive offensive linemen like Keaton SutherlandHenry Roberts and Tristen Hoge.
Devonaire Clarington â€“ There has been some speculation as to weather Clarington will play tight end or defensive end in college but with hands stretching 11 inches, he has the kind of mitts that can benefit him in either spot. Texas is the current Crystal Ball favorite.

Just a quick THANK YOU to all of you that are following recruiting like good detectives... you're really plugged-in and you provide us with great information and insight to what is going on with the recruits the Horns are after!  As a long-time poster on HF I used to get most of my recruiting info there, not anymore - I come here as you "guys" are all over it!!

Hook 'Em!

Some practice notes from 247

DT Daylon Mack is shorter than listed, but quick and really powerfull.

RB SoSo Jamabo has worked out as a WR.

S DeShon Elliott has been looking very good at safety. Elliott is also back returning punts.

OT Drew Richmond had problems with DE Byron Cowart (Cowart is making a case for the number 1 player in the country though), but has held his own as LT for the most part.

WR Damarkus Lodge has been called "a special talent"

Malik Jefferson has no problems running with TE's in coverage

Anthony Wheeler playing ILB.

I just saw an aggy clip where kris boyd is rooting for a win over wvu and saying gig 'em.  hopefully we can an endoresemtn before our game tonight!

More practice notes --

TE Devonaire Clarington has looked great in his first practice. He has soft hands that catches everything thrown his way. Hasn't shown anything as a blocker (there hasn't been any drills yet). He won his share of one-on-one battles with CB's due to his size and speed.

S Tim Irvin has been vocal. By far the most vocal guy at the first practice. He has yelled at LB's for not lining up correctly in 11-on-11. The comparison to Quandre seems better and better. He's been breaking on the ball extremely quickly, arriving before the ball on a couple occasions.

Daylon Mack regarding Texas, per Gerry Hamilton (ESPN).

"Oh man, to make up ground? They are only in it because my good friend Malik [Jefferson] committed there, so I feel like I have to give them a look because Malik and I would like to play together. I will give them a look, but I’m not sure after that. I’m really focused more on LSU and TCU."

A lot of pressure on us to have a good showing tonight. Aggy dominating against WVU combining with a poor Texas showing could swing some momentum back in their favor.

Very good point - your right.  Got to keep the momentum going...

I don't know that it will to be honest.

Texas A&M beats West Virginia.

Texas beat West Virginia.

Null.

Texas A&M beats Arkansas.

Texas beats Arkansas.

+1 Texas (Rebuilding Texas Team)

Texas A&M beat Arkansas.

Texas loses to Arkansas.

Potential +1 TAMU

However, there are so many facets to consider.

A.) Texas is rebuilding and was never ranked. A&M was ranked as high as #6 this year and only beat Arkansas by a Touchdown.

B.) Texas is the underdog in this game. Arkansas was the underdog in their game with A&M.

C.) A&M, like Texas, is playing an opponent that the other team has already beaten.

D.) A&M is still without a Defensive Coordinator and reflected very poor defensive play in their game today.

E.) A&M has only dominated one half. For much of the first, it was WV's game to lose. And lost it they did.

F.) Texas likely won't suffer from any negative publicity as the result of a Student Coach hitting opposing players during the game tonight.

In my opinion, regardless of what the score states, A&M lost today. They showed just how poorly managed they are through various antics. Whether it was players being accosted on the sidelines or players celebrating after targeting, A&M should have a black mark on their program by any sensible football viewer.

Beating a team who is starting their 2nd string QB (who has barley played all year) by less than 10 points isn't dominating in my book.

You're right, I spoke too soon. It looked like aggy was gonna win by 3 touchdowns. I definitely take back that statement. I guess the announcers gushing over aggy made if seem worse than if was.lol

I don't the think the outcome of either game today/tonight will have much impact. Texas and A&M both had "meh" seasons. Judging from the reactions on Twitter the general public/recruits weren't engaged at all for that A&M vs WV game.

True, even when aggy wins they still find someway to embarrass themselves
