He is expecting some news tomorrow. It could be a UT offer. He is one to keep an eye on. He is a small kid but can really throw the rock and run it. I don't really see him as a college QB but they said he had one of the better nights throwing the ball Friday.

King is a ring leader of the '16 kids. Not sure if it's his football skills or personality (or both) but the other kids definitely gravitate to him.

He's a big piece of the puzzle for whatever team he picks.

D.J. is a nice kid. Ive had a chance to speak with him a few times. Easy to get along with always respectful. Get him and you probably get Hemp and Anderson. I think Reggie ends up at UT. TTU and Baylor could be big players for D.J.

I can't tell how good of a college passer he would be from his highlights. I do know I would love him as a WR, if he can catch the ball. He would be a home run threat for the offense.

That music to his highlights is awful, someone should tell hudi.

Class of 2016 athlete D'Eriq King visited Tech this week and came away impressed enough to move the Red Raiders into his top three

Because he’s just 5 foot 9, D’Eriq King could be headed to Texas Tech.

The Class of 2016 4-star athlete wants a chance to play quarterback in college, but he believes teams aren’t considering him at the position because they think he’s too short. The University of Texas, for example, has shown interest in him as a wide receiver.

But Texas Tech, King said, is willing to try him at quarterback, a position he’s played since he was in the sixth grade, but one he’s willing to leave in college if needed.
