I was told by a coach from Belton that if Shackleford loves the coaches this weekend at UT, like he does at Kansas State, he will flip to the good guys.

I posted it in a other thread, but I'll post it here because I've seen his name come up a few times. Living in Belton, and being close with some coaches, I was told that Shackleford would come to Texas only if Wickline were to be gone. (That was before the Gilbert hire) Now with Wickline gone...

Not sure at the collegiate level, but I have heard from many people that he is beloved in Temple. Parents and athletes alike.

How much do the quality control coaches make now?

Does anybody know if Spradlin is in line for a position on the staff? I was told he had "accepted a position" on the staff. Or so he thought.

Or other lineman that we have missed out on because of him. I know we would've missed (and still possibly could) on Shackleford. If the coach I talked to from Belton is right, we should get him now that Wickline is gone. For someone who is regarded as a great o-line coach, it's disheartening to...

All this does is make the university look unstable and hurt recruiting. If our BMD want "to win" so bad, then why not do everything possible to do just that? We can't get to the top again without allowing a man to coach. If we want to do Strong this was, and it's a public debacle, why would we...

I just talked to some people here in town and they are hearing the same thing about Spradlin. Wouldn't tell me any good details though. 😧

Shackleford will be coming to Texas if Wickline is gone. That's what I was told as of yesterday. Apparently he didn't get along real well with him. I think Shackelford could play center. He's big, athletic, and mean enough to get in there to shake things up. From a coach I talked to at Belton...

Now he needs to go get Shackleford from Belton so he can play center. The kid did very well against Kendall Jones. In fact, he was moved to center just so he could go against him. I found out yesterday that he'll come to Texas if Wickline is gone.

Spradlin is an awesome coach. Being from Belton, and Temple being our rival, it's hard to admit it but he has definently changed Temple. Even better man.
