Pickryl in 2003 was the kid I was thinking of. He played at Jenks back when they were the power in OK HS along with Union and was pretty highly recruited. If I remember correctly, he ended up with shoulder issue on both sides and never made an impact.

Might have played to try to showcase himself fo the portal. Not sure his play helped him. I’d say this even more likely Texas makes a decent sized move for a veteran WR in the portal.
