Some interesting Venmo transactions on Mateers feed. He was at washington state when these were sent.

The transactions are real, he took down his venmo after this went public but plenty of people were able to pull them up before that happened. It's probably small potatoes stuff, looks like bets between him and a teammate (at least that is who he was paying here).

Yes, he was at WSU, but I'm not sure that matters. This would be a federal crime. I don't think we (public) know enough though to really understand what kind of trouble he may be in.

I hate to see it for him, but since he's at OU I'm not gonna sit here and feel bad.

I think any trouble coming his way would depend on if there is any evidence of gambling beyond these transaction notes. A note on Venmo doesn't really prove anything, they are often written in a joking manner.

If he did make a small wager, even between friends, on a football game it would be a violation of NCAA rules. Though, a small monetary value gambled typically would only have a very small penalty - as small as some education regarding gambling.

Again, I think this is small potatoes and won't amount to much of anything but a bad look and a bad distraction for the team at the moment.

LSU starting RB JT Lindsay has been arrested on two felony counts of accessory after the fact to seccond degree murder.

He apprently allowed two teenagers on the run against second degree murder warrants to stay at his dorm room for a few days.

LSU has suspended Lindsay until the matter is resolved.

These guys have another thing coming if they believe this to be true. They are of course assuming the worst outcome for Texas and the best scenario for OU.

Access to high five line before the game, photos at the 50 yrd line before the game...all kind of stuff to try to bring in more income.

It is a pretty pathetic look.

Former Vikings team captain expressed his disapproval about the Vikings having male cheerleaders on the sidelines. Before I go any further, I am NOT expressing a view pro or con about this. If I did express an opinion on this site, it would be in the politics thread. What I want to share is this. The former player said: "No man needs to ever have a pom-pom in their hand." When I read that I recall seeing a lot of SEC schools' fans - MALES - waving a pom pom. Just asking...
