SignUp Now!That's twice now the Riojas has come in and put out a fire but after pitching in relief for several innings starts to lose his stuff. I am curious if Schloss is extending him a bit too far. Time will tell.Spencer goes 4.1 innings (90 pitches) and now Riojas takes the mound with a runner on first.
Aluminum bats in general don’t do well in cold weather. Saw a replay of the game, with warmer temperatures a few of those balls Texas hit would’ve most likely been gone. Most games in 30°-40° temps, (in my experience) are low-scoring affairs.
Not pretty, but it is a win. The weather looks a lot better tomorrow, so hopefully the bats will be better.
That’s a normal week 1 of the baseball season here in East Texas.Cold and wet in the Austin area today, just a nasty day!
