I hesitate to post this after Clemson an ACC team give really all we wanted at our house. Here goes though,I think get by ASU and PSU beats Boise. We take care of PSU. My main concerns really OSU,Oregon,ND waiting to see how Ga. QB does, but their defens better play every game like played us.

Glad ND is playing Georgia. Both teams concern me so glad one of these will be eliminated.

Get by ASU and then any remaining teams will be a concern. But to be the best, you have to be the best. Get by ASU and then anything can happen.

Tennessee offense didn’t impress me all year. Not suprised Ohio State shut them down
I wasnt either but I had the Big 10 as mostly hyped especially when Ohio State lost to Michigan. especially considering we drummed Michigan. Last night though Ohio State looked good.

It begs the question who would you rather play Oregon or Ohio State in the semi finals. I would have said Ohio State before last night now not so sure.

What was a big mistake for Tennessee was trying to play man against OSU's receivers. You're just asking to lose if that's your defensive game plan. They should have just implemented what Michigan did to beat them: two high safeties.
My son graduated from Ohio State. So I watch. The receivers are great every year. You need Two high safeties and a great defensive line to stop the run to stop them.

We’d have to play our A/B+ game to beat Oregon. Offense needs to be a score with them.

For Ohio State, we need to play at least our B game.

So I guess that means I think we have a better shot at beating Ohio State to me. I’d still much rather beat Oregon just because they are unbeaten.

Step one is Ohio State or Oregon, I think I'd rather face OSU because of the QB position. I think Dillon Gabriel could give us some issues.

That said, I think we have an easier time scoring on Oregon compared to Ohio State.

Texas concerns me. Clemson was close to a complete game. Here’s hoping they can duplicate that to the ‘ship!!
Colin Simmons Secured an interception at the Clemson 26 yard line, Texas up 21-7.

2nd and 2, 3rd and 1 and 4th and 1 at the Clemson 17 and Texas fails to convert.

Defense forces a punt and Texas starts a drive at the Texas 42.

Deandre Moore bobbles a pass that leads to an interception.

Clemson drives all the way to the Texas 14 and faces a 3rd and 5.

Defense hold them to a FG and then Texas drives for a end of half TD to make the score 28-10.

Two major failed drives by Texas offense but they made plays when necessary and went into half with a pretty comfortable lead.

To end another losing 3rd qtr where Texas was outscored 7-3, Quinn misses an open throw to Matthew Golden on a 4th and 2 at the Clemson 36.

Clemson then drives down to score a TD and make the score 24-31.

Texas immediately steals the momentum back with a 77 yard Jaydon Blue TD.

Texas D would give up another long drive but ultimately bow up on the goal line with a 4th and 1 stop with 7:24 left on the clock. Preserving the 14 point lead.

Texas Offense would close out the game with a 3rd and 9 and 3rd and 7 conversion to burn up the majority of the clock before a fumbled 4th and 1 attempt with a 1:43 on the clock.

My point with the two above examples, if Texas avoids those problematic drives, this Clemson game would have been a blow out. Going forward, those are the types of situations that could get us knocked out against top tier competition.

In both cases, Texas responded in a positive way and turned the game back in their favor. That is a sign of a good team overall and is the difference between this year and Sark's first couple of seasons.

I'm not in disagreement. As I said in another thread, I want Sark to take the points when they are available. Maybe I should have added Auburn (the K, not the university) to my list of concerns.

My posts were pointing out some of the concerning moments in the game. Fortunately Texas was able to flip the script both times.
