#13 Texas kicks off SEC Tournament play against the #12 Vanderbilt Commodores at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on Wednesday. While the doors to a berth in the upcoming NCAA Tournament are seemingly closed for Rodney Terry's team, a deep run in the conference tournament could get them in.

Should they defeat the Commodores, a team they have already lost to in Nashville this season, they would face Texas A&M on Thursday in the Second Round. A win over the Aggies (who they split games with during the regular season), would set up a matchup with Rick Barnes and Tennessee.

March Madness sure is a lot better with the Longhorns playing in it, but right now it is a long shot for them to go dancing.

SEC Network will carry all first and second round games.

Arkansas opens with a win over South Carolina, 72-68

Next up, Texas vs Vanderbilt

63-45 with 8:12 left, Texas leading.

Refs are calling a friggin foul every single time Vandy drives to the basket. Some of it, ok. But some of the fouls are minimum contact.

Johnson has his shot back, thankfully.

Of course when I turn on the game Texas is starting to struggle. Down to 7 point lead.

I would say they have to beat aggy and the Tenn to maybe squeak In to the bracket.

Miss State is eating LSU's lunch

44-23 just before the half.

Miss State 91
LSU 61
FINAL

Miss State takes on MIzzou tomorrow

OU beats Georgia, 81-75. That pretty much punches their tourney ticket.
