I think OU needs a lot of chaos to hang close with us and even more to pull off the win. As bad as their offense has been, I just don't see many ways for them to score outside of defense, special teams, or big yardage TD plays by their O.

They will try to use Hawkins in various ways in the rushing game. He rushed the ball 14 times at Auburn while throwing 15 times. But he averaged 16.1 yards per completion.

Starting tomorrow, we are taking a couple of extra days off work thanks to Milton. The current projected path is about a mile or two from our condo. Heading up to the Panhandle past Tallahassee.

Here's the thing with CJ Vogel, he does a great job but he is a kid - recently graduated from Texas. He doesn't have the experience of his colleagues like Gerry Hamilton and Bobby Hamilton. They both are confident but also understand the history of this game and how things can get turned on their heads.

They haven't been a very good offense in the traditional run game. We should be able to limit them there without overcommitting resources. Our DBs should be able to lock down their pass catchers with a good amount of 1 on 1 defense.

That leaves the rest of the defensive resources to focus on the scramble and run game of Hawkins.

I think they will have a hard time consistently moving the ball. Scoring more than 20 points on offense is likely an uphill battle for them.

Their defense can be had through the air. Most of their defensive success has been due to creating turnovers, scoring TDs, etc. We will be able to move the ball, just ogtta get it in the endzone and avoid costly turnovers.

This will be the best defense we have faced this year. Texas will struggle to cover that spread.

IMO, Michigan was better.

I wonder why the big changes so late. Usually that big of a jump would indicate some previously unknown injury or something.
