*****GAME THREAD : UTEP @ No. 7 TEXAS*****

Our pass rush had been bleh. Is Simmons even on the team this year.
Oh thats right , he's had several penalties on him this year.

Another win that feels a lot like a loss. This performance is on the coachcing staff. Our offense is inept. Our QB looks confused most of the time. Our defense was good for 3 quarters, then suddenly looked unmotivated in allowing UTEP to score.

We have one of the most talented rosters in all of college football. And we just struggled to beat UTEP AT HOME.

This is on Sark and his staff.

Agree with almost everything except the last TD they gave up. I saw a lot of backups on D that last drive and they played a shell. Still shouldn't give up a TD though. I wish I had the magic answer for Arch, but he has to get his head right. It's on him, Milwee and Sark to get things right.

Whoever is paying the 6.8 million to Arch is not getting money's worth. That what you get when give young

Glad we don't play tomorrow.

You can say that again. They just beat Notre Dame at home.

We have one more game at home to get it right before conference play. Replacing 4 out of the 5 OL, new receivers and new QB. It's hard to replace all that and expect the same output as last yr.

Its not even that. Its about a qb that underthrows or overthrows wide open receivers. Its about a qb that is making bad decisions. Its about a qb that has had 3 spring and fall practice seasons in this system who looks completely lost.

Undoubtedly, lots of people expected no drop off as Texas was preseason #1.

So my question at this point, is Arch Manning too much in his own head or is this a development issues?

OR… at what point do you question Sarks ability to develop a QB? Maybe there was more to it during his time at Bama. I mean, his development of one of the highest rated 5 star QBs out of HS turned into a 7th round pick… and now Arch…. It’s ugly.
