I like it when we're the underdog.

Right now, I'm taking OSU and the points.
I tend to agree after watching OSU dismantle Tennessee and Oregon. Hopefully being an underdog will spark something in Texas. OSU has to be the favorite to win it all right now

Texas has been playing with fire the last half of the season. I don't know if it's the play calling, play execution, no killer instinct or any or all of the above. If they can't play a full 60 minutes, we're going to get spanked like Oregon.

It really bothers me when we don't play to our potential when we are clearly the better team.

We gonna need Qiunn version in Tuscaloosa & Ann Arbor. We will need defense put pressure on Will Howard to have chance. We cannot play like we have since Arkie.

1. Quinn will need to be mobile.
2. Must get passes out quickly.
3. Need to have at minimum of 150 yards rushing.
4. No turnovers from us and at least 2 from OSU.
5. Defense has to get to Will Howard.
6. (Correction) Jeremiah Smith needs to be contained with no explosives.
7. We cannot rely on a field goal to win the game.
8. Sark will need his best game calling plays.
9. We must control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.
10. Keep penalties to a bare minimum.

Pretty tall task but not impossible. I hope that us being the under dog it will motivate us to go out and finally play our best game. Hook'em.

I wish Sark would implement the Arch package more. Even if it seems obvious that we're going to run the ball, at least Arch provides the threat of the QB keeping and running it himself. It seems like when we run it on obvious situations, our backs tend to get hit behind the line and it leaves us with 2nd or 3rd and long. If there's ever a time to unleash everything, it is now. Let's do everything we can to avoid the offensive lulls in the 3rd quarter.

I think we are good on #6. He should be at home watching on his couch ;)

You're basically saying we have to play our best game of the year. It's true. It's time for Texas to play to its potential against the best team left.

No more missing easy blocks. Minimize penalties. Sound tackling. Make and take the easy plays. Hit a few deeps shots. Get after their QB. Protect ours. Hit those easy FGs.

PK's bend don't break defense will test our patience but we have to hold Ohio State to FGs as much as possible. They will move the ball against us. We have to score and not go in our typical 1-2 quarter TD scoring droughts.

Williams is really good, too bad we didnt land him and Bama did. I watched Smith as well. He looks ready for the NFL already. Big target and good body control. As you mentioned we need to pressure Howard or we might be in trouble.

Given that Bama has to bring in a new QB next year, I would think Williams might consider a new situation.

Also I think one thing Texas can do to hurt the OSU offense is get their QB rattled. He has proven over and again that he does not respond well to pressure. He makes bad throws alot in those situations, throws earlier than he should.
If we pick him off a time or two, it will make even worse on him.
If we can netrualize him they would have to rely on their running game heavily. And I think we can deal with that.
