It depends on the circumstances and how Kiffin feels about it. Kiffen has changed jobs A BUNCH of times. Is he tired of moving his family around the country yet? Or does Florida just money whip him?

And Ole Miss might be inclined to match or beat any offer Florida throws down.

Should be interesting, but I agree, Kiffin is probably candidate #1 for Florida.
And going to be making more money regardless of where he is coaching.

Kiffin will make lots of money in the coming years if he stays or not, so I would be surprised if money is the determining factor. I would guess that if he accepts the Florida job, it will because he believes he has a better chance of winning a natty there. My guess is he stays, after Ole Miss matches any ridiculous offer that Florida makes.

I think Florida is Kiffin's to turn down. The big donors see him as another Steve Spurrier.
I think Kiffin is waiting for his dream job, where ever that is. He has built up Ole Miss to a playoff team, why leave now? He is going to get more money at Ole Miss if his name pops up anywhere.

So if Florida is his dream job, he will take it otherwise he's only shown he will move on when something "better" comes up. Unless a team is really desperate I don't see them going after him until he wins it all or if they just want to see Ole Miss pony up more cash and bankrupt themselves.

Speaking of Kiffin.. I'm just curious about something..I can't seem to wrap my head around this but what possessed him at the time to take the head coaching job at Tennessee and then all of a sudden he ditched that coaching job and then if im not mistaken he went to USC or something like that..can someone clarify for me what happened with that??

YEah, I remember that. At the time, USC was a destination job and Tennessee was struggling. So he jumped ship for the dream job.

Not only was tenesee struggling at that point, but he had ties to usc (same ties as Sark i.e. 2 natties). It definitely wasn't a good look to leave after 1 year.

Kiffin is significantly older now, and I suspect he is less inclined to make any crazy moves like that. But since he has been at Ole miss for 4 years, it's not comparable.

The money behind the Florida program and the Ole Miss program isn't close. NIL will be way higher at Florida to acquire a better roster.

Yet Ole Miss' roster is far better than Floridas.

Who knows. Maybe Kiffin is waiting for the Texas job. ;)
cross eyed excuse me GIF

Perhaps this is part of cleaning house. Perhaps there were cracks in leadership and alignment. Perhaps there were some personality differences. Perhaps all of the above. Regardless, there appears to be a lot of turmoil that didn't start last Saturday.
