Bergeron seeking release from scholarship.

The interesting thing about it is that West Texas A&M is asking UT for permission to speak to him....

I'm sure W Tx A&M offers the academic program and degree plan that Joe would like to complete. It is all about the academics right? It's a shame that he has put in three years at a prestigious university only to flake out and not complete his degree. Good luck wherever you land Joe. PS: enjoy west Texas.

Damn. I was really hoping he would get re-instated and get a second chance under Strong.

Wow! I'll never understand how these kids let these type of opportunities slip away. Good luck to you Joe...

My West Texas A&M degree is treating me well. Not trying to get into a pissing match but.... I have always liked Joe's game, I wish him the best.

Impressive NFL stat!  My prior commentary on Joe blowing his chance to finish his degree at Texas was in no way a slight to W. Texas A&M, just me being sarcastic when players transfer to another school for football vs. academics.  Example is the graduated players who somehow find their "dream" degree only offered at their transfer school (and not their prior school) so they can have another year of eligibility.  Was West Tx A&M previously Sul Ross or am I mistaken?  Did my graduate degree in way west Texas in the great city of El Paso.  Being an Austinite, was a bit off the beaten path for me but much like your stint out in west Texas proved to be a successful venture.  I too liked Bergeron's game, wish he could have lived up to is potential for a great senior year.

You're mistaken.  http://www.sulross.edu/

Alpine and Canyon aren't in the same zip code.

I saw an Aggie recruit reference seeing the Sul Ross statue on campus in CS, any knowledge there?
