Sean Miller reportedly recruiting 19-year-old French star to add scoring power

Texas head coach Sean Miller is reportedly pursuing a 19-year-old guard from France to add to the Longhorns' roster.

Once again, the new Texas men's basketball coach is making a splash in the recruiting scene. Sean Miller, who was named the Longhorns' head coach at the end of March, is looking across the pond again as he works to recruit a 19-year-old star from France.

Evan Boisdur, one of the best U21 offensive players in the country, has caught the eye of Miller, and now, Texas is in the hunt for his commitment.

Evan Boisdur U21 season stats

  • 21.6 points per game
  • 4.8 rebounds per game
  • 4.1 assists per game
  • 3.2 steals per game
Boisdur isn't just an offensive workhorse; he is also a dominant presence on the defensive end of the court, forcing at least three turnovers per game over the past season.

At just 6-foot-1, Boisdur is slightly undersized for a collegiate guard, but his quick footwork and high basketball IQ make him an extremely viable and beneficial addition to the Longhorns' roster, which Miller has focused on adding height to during his short month with the team.

Already this spring, Miller expressed interest in another European player,Italian-born guard Elisee Assui, who has also earned attention from the Wisconsin Badgers, Missouri Tigers, and Clemson Tigers.

So far this offseason, Miller has recruited a few of his former Xavier players (Lassina Traore and Dailyn Swain) as well as former Purdue forward Camden Heide and former Florida Atlantic center Matas Vokietaitis.

John Clark, a four-star center in the class of 2025, signed with Texas when former head coach Rodney Terry was still in charge, but he has yet to give any indication that he plans to break his commitment to the Longhorns.

Currently, Texas's 2025 recruiting class is ranked No. 74 in the nation. However, Miller's transfer portal class is ranked No. 20 in the nation.

These are great days for Longhorn fans. Sean Miller is resurrecting Texas basketball, Schloss has the baseball team at #1, Sark has put us in the semifinals two years in a row and Vic Schaefer coached a final four team. Hook'em!
Edit: Sorry about forgetting #3 softball.
Volleyball another big college sport that is a machine.

And the other, albeit less popular, sports are doing a great job as well as evidenced by our likely 4th directors cup in 5 years.
