aggy thread

What in the world??? Really??
What Is It Reaction GIF by Nebraska Humane Society

Problem is fan bases will catch on as to if their team will ever be competitive or not in today’s college football world. Those schools that have teams not competing can’t help but find fan bases dwindling.

Do we really want to play a&m at their place in front of 60,000 ( half or more wearing burnt orange) and knowing the game will be over by halftime?

We are already possibly seeing this with ou.
Doesn’t bother me one bit. Score 80 on them.

That sounds awesome, sign me up.³

Aggy has more money to throw around, so if/when things go too far south they will be able to afford to hire a new staff, then the 3 or 4 year cycle likely repeats.

ou on the other hand has way less money, so when things go south they will have less options on fixing things. Venebeles signed a 6 year deal in July that apparently has a 45 million buyout. I suspect that no matter how much ou sucks next year that Venables will get at least a fourth year, and after that their program could be in a world of hurt, which would be amazing. I think the Nebraska comparison is fair, except unlike Nebraska, ou doesn't have a fan base that will fill the stadium to watch teams that aren't competitive.

Really want aggy to become another Rice? How boring would that be.
Yes. f aggy. f their hypocritical "Honor" Code. There are a few words they didn't write in that code but every one of those rat bastards lives by.

“An Aggie does not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do... unless it involves beating the University of Texas, because that's really all that matters to us"

So yes, turn those bastards in to Rice, Louisiana-Monroe, Kent State, or whoever best represents the suck that comes out of Collie Station.

Yes I do. I want to buy a premium seat at collie station for 8 bits and watch Texas steamroll the aggies.

As for ouSux. who cares?!? At least the fair won't be so crowded. I'm sure they'll find enough delusional fans to attend the game. After all, what else are they going to do in Okiehoma...watch paint dry?

Did @Bear19 approve the use of rat bastard here? He kinda owns that phrase. lol

Aren't they still paying Franchione and a couple others?

Nope, they are done paying Franchione and Sumlin, but they still have to pay Jimbo 7.2 million a year through 2031. Definitely allot of money essentially being flushed down the toilet.

FWIW, to put things in perspective according to google:

"AI Overview
Texas A&M's athletic department had a record-breaking 2023 fiscal year with $279.2 million in operating revenue and an $85.5 million operating surplus: "

Mediocrity sells I guess.

A quick jaunt over to texags did no disappoint. A mix of I'd sell my sole to the devil for a Natty to Elko is fat to the season is already over.

I love it that most if the posters are convinced the refs are being paid off, and say that their warnings of how terrible "tu" should have been listening to, and "tu" should not have been allowed to join the conference.

I always expect a considerable amount of this type of delusional posters, but it seems like it has risen to a whole nother level.
