More pure gold from texags

In the last 5 months tu has:
-Joined our conference
-Hired away our baseball coach
-Beat A&M at Kyle Field
-Clinched a berth in the SEC title game in their first year when A&M still has 0 title game appearances
This is a lot of fun. Things are going fantastic for our athletic department as we get shoved into a locker and clowned on again.
Im so glad they joined the SEC and our admins were duped by thinking a handshake deal would keep them out.
So many of you wanted to play them again. Happy now? Reading all that reinforces to me that we need to leave the conference and never be in one with them again. Our rivals can be tech, Baylor, tcu, or we should join the big 10.
We were all soooo sure things were going to be different now that we had an new stadium, facilities, better recruiting and we puffed out our chest when we got the greatest recruiting class of all time which turned out to be a complete bust.
We thought the SEC would be to physical for them and we would have a leg up on them when we played them in Kyle field again, but they completely dominated both lines of scrimmage from the first snap and we didn't score a single point on offense.

I don’t think you have to worry about it for the foreseeable future. With Elko they will not have a decent offense. Texas will be legit on both sides of the ball next year for sure

I agree with you about Texas - don't misconstrue. I do believe Elko will be the best coach aggy has had in a good while.
I was looking at the starters Texas ran out this past Saturday. It is quite possible that we will need to replace all five offensive line starters and all four of the defensive front starters. That said, I think Moore will likely return on defense. But I doubt Big Cam or Campbell will return. So my guess is we replace all 5 on offense and 3 of 4 on defense.
We have very talented replacements across the board. I could see starting lines consisting of the below players being very formidable. But don't kid yourself, losing that amount of experience will cause some growing pains.
Offense: Goosby So - Umeozulu Jr- Robertson So - Hudson Sr - Baker So
Defense: Simmons So / Burke Sr - Bledsoe Jr - January So - Vacek So
Look for a portal addition for the interior DL, but we have shown no interest in portal OL since Sark arrived. Also, I could see Burke moving to Jack as the starter with Simmons at the other edge.

He should show more faith in his team's ability to compete. Yet, maybe he knows his team well.
I think more stay than you think. I think you’re giving Elko too much credit. Didn’t Duke improve after he left. He was on staff with Jimbo too

I don't think Duke improved.... but my knowledge of Duke football doesn't go too much past Maleeeek and Manny Diaz. I think Elko is an improvement over Jimbo and Sumlin. But Sumlin did have a couple good years. If I'm wrong, I won't lose sleep over it.
Just curious Drb522 - who do you think might stay?
I think a couple OL will likely stay. I doubt we lose all 5. I don’t think we lose any underclass on defense

I don't think Cam leaves. We should be solid at both OT, at least the 1st team anyway.
Campbell and Williams may both return.
Either Bond or Golden will head to draft. Golden most likely. Bond needs a healthy year. I think Blue hits the portal.
Cam likely a very high draft pick, that may be enough for him to leave.
