2026 Recruiting Board/Thread

An exerp from CJ Vogel's article today.

2026 North Shore DB Chace Calicut

"Today was nice, it was cool to meet with the coaches. It really feels like home. (Texas) really leads my recruitment right now. A commitment would probably be coming in July.

The visit was Calicut's second time on campus. He visited for the UTSA game in the fall.

Mark Bowman is the No. 1 TE ...

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei 5-star TE Mark Bowman officially reclassifying to 2026 means the Longhorns have their top TE target in the class. And the 6-foot-4, 230-pounder will eventually choose between Texas and Georgia according to a locked in source.

5-star WR we're pursing out of Miss. Keys played with KJ Lacy in the 7-on-7 league. Dia Bell is in his ear, too.

Per Gerry/OTF –
"Keys had Lacey tell Texas he wanted the Horns to recruit him "

OTF does expect DeSoto (Texas) High 2027 WR Boobie Feaster to reclass to 2026.

Hope he stays. Why would anyone want to work for Jerraaah??

BTW, liking the new format so far. 🤘
Pay likely a factor that favors the horns. Choice gets paid 750k by Texas. Position coaches in the pros around 500k.

Obviously, either Salary is more than enough money, especially for a former NFL pro. He seems to like the young kids and recruiting but he just had a kid himself. The change in lifestyle could be appealing with the NFL job.

I was curious, he made 3.5 million over a 6 year career. His biggest paying year was just over 800k. So he has actually been getting better money coaching at Texas than playing ball.
