Hero Kanu (Ohio State DL) visited today. Ohio State lists him at 6'5, 305 and a 4-star

247's commentary on him:

A big interior lineman with plus quickness and athleticism. He’s naturally strong, shows a great get-off and has a rare combination of size, power and twitch with the kind of motor you love to see in an interior lineman. Has only played two years of football and is still learning the sport but has a soccer background that has helped him with his overall quickness and coordination. Plays with a motor and is able to run down plays form behind as well as make plays down the field. Can take on a double team and still get a push and shows some natural pass rush skill that should really develop with more game reps and experience.A big interior lineman with plus quickness and athleticism. Ok, this I can get behind. Could be great depth and a potential starter. I believe he is a R-So so this could be a multi- year deal. Shaw, Kanu, Brevard, January, Hills, and the three true freshman sprinkled in here and there (well, I think Justice Terry could be a regular in the rotation by seasons end).

Not a lot of production. Played less this year than last. Not sure if he had an injury. He did have 1 tackle in each of the 4 playoff games for Ohio State but logged no other stats in the regular season.

Seems like the type of player we'd want, especially when considering his recruiting profile and rawness.

He was injured this past year.

OSU intended to make him part of their rotation this coming year. OSU has had tons of DL depth, all of them ranked high.

DL Hero Kanu is visiting Georgia today. Georgia's DL depth will probably keep him away from them.

It is sounding like this will come down to Texas or Florida.

Announcement to be on Wednesday or Thursday of this week.

So, is that it for this year’s transfer portal for us? I could see us taking a TE or WR if someone special pops up

Don't think so. I think it is the last DT portal we get though.

It is it for players to participate in spring practice. Today was the last day to register or change classes. As far as DT goes Gerry and Bobby both said that Texas wants another, but he has to be a dude.
