2024-2025 Transfer Portal Thread

We're going to have quite a log jam there. Collins returns. Vasek will be healthy again. Burke returns. Plus we get the freshman Lance Jackson who is ready for the SEC, size-wise. And then Moore, if he returns.

Moore might be open to a LB spot because thats where he likely ends up in the NFL.

If he comes back, I actually think it will be to get reps as a stand-up LB. To improve his NFL grade.

Not sure where they got the 99 from. According to 247 Scholarship Distribution Texas is sitting around 84 scholarships (including the 4 transfers). I went ahead and took out Ewers, Banks, Blue, and Golden. I left Bond, Cam Williams and Trey Moore in for now, but I have a feeling at least Bond is gone. Unless they're counting others like PWO and stuff, Im not sure where they got to 99.

There was a lot of noise this morning about portal concerns for Hill, Simmons, and Wingo. Appears there was a decent amount of money getting thrown their way. Sounds like they're all locked in though.

That said, sounds like Muhammad might be a potential portal candidate?

With regard to Hill, Simmons and Wingo, hopefully it's just them doing their due diligence to make sure that they are being compensated appropriately.

Apparently Derek Williams may leave with him. That would be 2 different 5 star secondary starters gone. Not good.

We do have a couple of CBs in the pipeline that I like alot. All of this past season I kept hearing Santana Wilson's name, saying he was going to be a good one. Kobe Black and Wardell Mack are others that will be good. DW was a safety so we have Xavier Filasame to step in.

I would hate to lose either. But right now the starting safeties are: Taafe and McDonald. Manny, on the other hand, is obviously a starter,

Ideally, you want to get better - or at lease not regress in your starting lineup. It is going to be tough to equal Manny at CB from the portal. Let's hope some of those talented CBs on our roster have been developing this year.

Any coach looking at the kid is going to see that he was benched by one team and then kicked off another. Oh yeah, bring me the problem child. lol
