*****Texas v Houston Austin Super Regional Saturday Thread*****

UT will be making its 35th appearance in the CWS.

That's a record by a mile. Next closest is Miami w/ 23.

I think the blonde chick ESPN co-host flashed the Horns up

Didnt she go to Texas?

I forget the name

One day, not that long ago, I was watching her segment and the 3 dudes were making fun of Texas, when compared to Yale or something and she almost started to cry.  No kidding.  I did not see the beginning so have no idea what the original discussion was about.  But her emotion almost bubbled forth.  Luckily they changed the topic.

Anyone else see that?

(or are you guys too busy building sacrificial bonfires?)

Juan is so sorry for all of the trouble he caused that he has decided to take all of us to Omaha to watch the Longhorns. He will get back to us with the details.

and also for the record, can anyone tell me who predicted Texas would win the rice regional and that LSU would lose its regional and it would move to Austin where the horns would win it.

That seems dangerously close to a jinx

Is the Longhorn Legend commercial worthy of the guy who could afford to buy a seat into space?

Not my favorite one of those

Let's all load up! The trouble was avoided by because joey and slim and others took precautionary measures to avoid the jinx. In baseball, a jinx is serious business.
All aboard the Omaha Express!

Juan, you are a great sport! Btw, did you take those crowd shots? They are really good.

Is Scott Harmon's caddy still around? I know it died one time on the way back from Omaha (after our 2002 championship, wasn't it?).

I think it died on the side of the road in Oklahoma, a fully decked out Longhorn caddy on the side of the road in Oklahoma. Wow!

Thank you, joey, for the continual updates. Keep em coming during the play in Omaha!

No problem java.  I would BE in Omaha if my oldest daughter wasn't graduating from HS this weekend.  Sheesh.  Timing sucks.  Now, should we make it to the finals, that's another story altogether!

I agree with you Juan. I don't believe in jinx's. The best team usually wins. Of course I sucked at baseball and maybe that's why. Lol
