*****GAME THREAD – No.2 Texas vs. No. 5 Georgia*****

probably need Oregon to win b1g to for us to get the 5th seed. If PSU wins, Oregon would most likely get the 5th.

And in the end our defense could not get a stop.
Gotta say, I like all the DL (only talking interior), but none of them are elite. All good, solid players, but not dominate. Edge players will be elite next year (Simmons and Moore if he returns). If Texas wants to win, they need to hit the portal hard at DL. You have the two guys last year up front to go with the Edge, LBs and DBs this year and that is elite.

All that being said, this game is on the offense and STs. Left 6 points on the board and while Quinn was solid, in the end he was not a difference maker.

– Our mistakes killed us.

– Georgia held on every offensive play and I think the refs called it once.

– Concerned about Bond's injury. He got rolled pretty bad.

– I never noticed how much of a whiney butt Smart is on the sideline. At times, it was outright weird.

– Quinn Ewers played a helluva game. Some of his passes were damn near perfect.

– Big Cam keeps killing us with the penalties. Thats got to end. Thats a shame because he made some good blocks tonight.

– Despite all the mistakes, the penalties, the turnovers . . . we still almost won. And it's too bad we didn't.

– I thought Sark's game plan with the long balls stretching out the defense enabled our running game to have success. But then we stopped throwing them. It was a good idea that he should have stayed with. Also, some over the middle passes would be nice.

Bond has been a disappointment to me ever since his injury. Yet I bet his props each week as a donation

Horrible play calls from sark in OT. Going for the home run. Couldn’t score in the redzone all game and special teams is why Texas lost. Beat ourselves. Feel sorry for the defense they been carrying this team all year
Sark is handcuffed by having a QB he can't trust to throw down field. Whether anyone wants to acknowledge it or not, Quinn is not elite and we've won in spite of him bc the team is littered with talent elsewhere on both sides of the ball.

He's not a QB that will win you a natty. I'll be cheering our boys like hell, but I've tempered my expectations on the ceiling of this team with Quinn behind center.
