aggy thread

Lots of good stuff on texags. Here is what I learned.

Texas has no idea what they are going to encounter.

Ewers and manning are both inept, TX is doomed.

There is an anti aggy pro "tu" SEC conspiracy that starts with Sankey and goes all the way down to the refs only calling holding on their oline, and not the opponents.

I am a big fan of Quinn and Arch but all those that think Arch is an easy answer, go back and watch the ULM game.

Arch is just as capable of making bad plays as Quinn is.
Jeff Ketchem did an interesting break down of Quinn, breaking down and ranking QBs by their best quarters and their worst quarters. Statistically, Quinn is a national top ten QB when he's on (good quarters). But when he's off he's amongst the absolute worst QBs in the nation. The worst in some categories. His game is unpredictable with a tremendous variance. Good Quinn gives us a better chance of winning than Arch (right now). But Arch gives us a better chance of winning if bad Quinn shows up.

We have almost 3 years of data watching Quinn. I think you can link his really bad play to lingering injuries (all three years). When he plays really bad, he's coming off injury and still bothered by it (physically or mentally). Just look at the Kentucky game as a condensed sample.

If Quinn is limping, I would much, much rather see Arch. Especially since we probably already have a playoff spot locked up. Let Quinn rest and get healthy for the playoffs - or sec championship if we win. If we lose, we're probably still in the playoffs. But I honestly think we can beat aggy with Arch... and Arch gives us a better shot than bad Quinn.

I would suggest that bad Quinn shows up when Quinn is injured or recovering from injury. He's already immobile, but when injured he can't plant on his foot to throw.

QE's first half was great. His second half wasn't. He was injured in the second half.

We'll see how well QE heals up that ankle. I"m like you, if he's limping, lets put Arch in.

I agree 100% I think the three years of Quinn bear this out. After injury he can be dreadfully bad. When he's at full strength, he's outstanding!

My guess is they wear the black. They want to look intimidating. They lost their RB that helped them with that rush offense. I think they still have one good RB though.

Injury will definitely play a role for sure. We don't know what percentage Quinn will be came Saturday. If he is limited, It's not a bad idea to give Arch a go.

It's a tough call for Sark for sure.

I asked the Aggie I work with about unis, he seemed to think they go all black. I think they're going to go all maroon from head to toe.
